“Lady Bathing” is done in the Flemish Technique developed by Frank Dale. An artist devoted to capturing painting in the style of Old Masters like Vermeer, this is a painstaking process. One that requires layers of sanding, oiling and varnishing in-between each application of paint beginning first by drawing the composition in graphite. The end result is always luminous.
